Introduction

Welcome to Physics for Architects laboratory.  This lab is required for all students currently enrolled in PHYS 1054.  Your grade for this lab is intergraded into your course grade. Check your lecture syllabus for percentage of overall grade.  This lab is designed to introduce you to sound, light, thermal energy, electricity and magnetism.

Attendance

Attendance is mandatory.  You will be allowed to drop or miss one lab activity.  There will be no make-up labs.  If you know that you are not going to be able to attend lab, notify your lab instructor prior to missing so that you can arrange to attend one of the other lab sections.

Inclement Weather

Unless classes have been officially canceled by the UA, students are expected to attend all lab meetings.  If the student feels that it would be unsafe to travel to the U of A, then the student is responsible for informing their instructor.  The student will be expected to make up the lab, at a time arranged with their instructor.  You are responsible for making the decision to travel in bad weather. We never want any student to put him or herself at risk to attend class.
